As I mentioned in this week's podcast, I will always encourage people to take part in any lunch (or dinner, etc) opportunities that are on offer at conventions. It's an opportunity to chat with the guests in a much more intimate situation, and they really do open up a lot more Smile I have had amazing experiences talking to guests at these sorts of events and I always attend any possible.

Got to agree. Having some quality one on one time with the guests is a fantastic experience.

I did not get to attend the convention due to work, but I did need to be there at the end to clean up the club's table and collect our materials for today's meeting. From what I understand, all the people attended the convention completely enjoyed themselves, though the turn-out did fall short of what it ought to have been for a Doctor. We managed to interview both guests for the club (DWCV), so hopefully the audio recorded properly. Scott once again showed his professionalism and ran the event smoothly and efficently. The DWCV once again owes him a thanks of gratitude.

I'm glad I got to say hi to you for two seconds, at least.

I had a great time. I spent far too much money on t-shirts with the guys from Gifts For The Geek (specifically a Deadpool t-shirt, Captain America t-shirt, TMNT t-shirt and a Green Lantern baseball cap).

Shameless Plug time - I know that both the day at the State Library and the previous night at the Astor Theatre were video recorded to make DVD's. BUY THESE DISCS (when they eventually get put together). Dominic Keating and Paul McGann were both incredibly funny and entertaining speakers.

As Lyn said earlier, probably one of my favourite cons ever.

I think about two seconds would be right; one day when I am not rushing past with a TARDIS console I will find the time for maybe ten seconds of talk! :-)

I am just glad that Gifts for the Geek were already packing up when I arrived as they tend to drain my wallet.
